Louise Chatterton
Activity Leader
Louise is a philosophy graduate and decades-long lover of the subject. After a five-year career in arts management, Louise trained with The Philosophy Foundation in 2016 and has since worked with them to facilitate philosophical enquiry for a vast range of groups, from classes of preschoolers to rooms of adults. She has worked predominantly in mainstream primary and secondary settings, but also at a pupil referral unit, and with small groups of young people online, including leading a weekly philosophy club for children affected by the war in Ukraine. Louise has the firm belief that focussed engagement in collaborative philosophical discussion and reflection is hugely empowering, and can equip young people with the confidence and thinking tools required to navigate today’s complex world and to become the leaders of tomorrow.
Aside from philosophy and family, Louise’s loves also include reading, dogs, singing, cryptic-crosswords, and the unending melodrama of football.
